Take-In for MAG Presbyterian Hospital Matthews Art Show

All participating artists are to come Saturday, 3/19, from 10 AM to Noon to the main lobby of Presbyterian Hospital Matthews with all artwork labeled(up to 3), entry form and $25 fee (for members; an additional $25 fee will be charged for non-members to become members). We're expecting close to 50 participants... so come early!

Group Art Anyone?

Every Wednesday night at the Matthews Community Center, MAG holds a life drawing/art session for all interested artists 18 years old and over. Session starts promptly at 7 PM so come early to set up. Fee runs from $5-7 depending on how many attend.

Don't forget take-in is Saturday, 3/19, between 10 AM to Noon at the lobby of Presbyterian Hospital Matthews. Bring your artwork along with the registration form and $25. If you are joining MAG also (membership is required for this show) an additional $25 will be charged to cover membership dues. We are expecting close to 50 entries so come early and be prepared!

Winners of the MAG Presbyterian Hospital Matthews Art Show will be announced at the reception at the hospital lobby, Thursday night , 3/24, from 6:30 to 8:30. Members are asked to help by bringing in food. Deliver your items to the food table by 6:15. Contact Pat LaCroix, pm9118@aol.com, if you do not know what to bring.

Golden Artist Colors Presentation by Phil Garrett

Thanks to Phil Garrett for a fantastic and highly informative presentation on Golden Artist Colors products! Wow! We now know about the latest colors, mediums, polymers, varnishes, gessos, grounds, , etc... We all left feeling like acrylics experts. Can't wait to try out the samples he gave us! Come again anytime, Phil.

Golden Acrylics Lecture Demo at MAG March Meeting

Come to our monthly meeting Tuesday night, 3/8, at 7 PM (6:30 PM social time) for a Golden Acrylics presentation with Phil Garrett (Patti Brady had to cancel). Free samples will be given to all who attend. Learn about all the new advancements made in regards to acrylics paints. Even if you paint in oil or watercolor, you can discover how to incorporate acrylics to your works for enhancement. Photographers and plein-air painters can also benefit. It's simply for all artists! Come! All MAG meetings are free and open to the public.

Life Art meets at the Matthews Community Center Wednesday night, 3/2, at 7 PM sharp (come early to set up). The first Wednesday of each month, the model comes in costume. The rest of the month the model poses nude (must be 18 and over to participate for these sessions). Cost is $5-7 depending on how many attend. Non-members are also welcome.
