Plein-Air at McAlpine Creek Greenway

After a quick get-together at a nearby Starbucks, the Plein-Air Buds ventured on The McAlpine Creek Greenway trail until we came to a suitable spot to stop and create art. Yvette (photography), Jen (acrylics), Nancy (pastels) and Debbie (pencil sketching and video-taping) enjoyed good weather while each did their art thing. It was so nice, we're doing it again next week. Want to join us? Email Debbie; dyacenda@aol.com.

What You Missed!

It was Nancy Kennedy and Debbie Yacenda sketching at the Carolina Waterfowl Rescue in Indian Trail today (1/20). Our models consisted of all kinds of ducks, sea gulls, chickens, roosters and a heron. It was adventurous! Pringles (a goose) attacked and snapped at Debbie's leg! No big deal... Pringles has no teeth. You don't have to be tough to do plein-air. For real, though, this was a fun and worthwhile trip and the Plein-Air Buds will do it again in the spring. Don't miss it! Email Debbie, dyacenda@aol.com, if you'd like to be in the loop. You do NOT have to be a member of MAG to participate.
