Debbie Rasberry did an excellent landscape pastel demo using photographs of swamp land. She discussed types of pastels, the different textures of pastel paper and underpainting with turpenoid.
Also, thanks to Binders for donating a gift certificate door prize. Debbie Rasberry drew from the plate of names and the winner was Nancy Kennedy!

Tomorrow, Tuesday, 2/12, at 9 AM meet at Nancy's house... we're carpooling to a Sunflower Field! You'll need a camp chair along with the usual art supplies and sunscreen, hat, etc... Afterwards, we'll go back to Nancy's house for lunch. She's making a salad and Debbie is making homemade ice cream. You can bring something to add to the salad, or something totally different, or your own lunch (we understand some have dietary constraints). No charge and open to all artists! Email Nancy at firstname.lastname@example.org or Debbie at email@example.com for details.
