The McDowell Arts Center Dedication Ceremony was held Saturday, 12/1 at 10 AM by the lower level entrance. Featured speakers were Mayor Jim Taylor, Director Lee Tillery of Matthews Parks & Cultural Resources Department, Town Manager Hazen Blodgett, and Town of Matthews Parks Advisory Board Chair Howie Labiner.
A reception and actvities by Kidzart were held in the downstairs studio. Upstairs in the gallery rooms, MAG had it's exhibition, "Introducing the Artists of MAG" along with an art demo by MAG member, Mataya. Cheap Joe's rep, Kevin Brown, gave out store coupons to the artists that attended the event.
MAG will hold its monthly meetings at MAC, as well as, exhibit in the gallery rooms. The next exhibit, "Colors in the Cold", is in January.
